Description :   Experience India is a unique spiritual way by following in the footsteps of hindu pilgrims along the paths of the indo-gangetic plain and the Himalayan foothills. Discover the shrines and temples of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Trijugi Narayan. Walk through pine forest, mountain peaks, villages and along the Ganga river, where you will be one with nature and feel the true soul of India.

Package Details

Day  1
Arrival in Delhi
We will welcome you at the airport and take you to your hotel in the centre of Delhi, where you will stay the night.

Day  2
Delhi-Srinagar [340 kms -10/14H by road]
We leave in the morning by road to Srinagar (Uttarakhand), crossing the large indo-Gangetic plain, then making our way to the mountains. We will stay overnight in a hotel

Day   3
Srinagar-Gaurikund (2000 m) [120kms – 6/8H by road]
We leave for the pilgrimage site of Gaurikund (2000m), the base camp for the trek that leads to the Kedarnath Temple. We will stay overnight, camping, or in a lodge.

Day   4
Gaurikund – Kedarnath (3550m) [6H walk)
We begin our trek, through forests and clear areas. You will be able to admire the astonishing view of the Kedarnath Peak (6970m), a well-earned reward for your efforts. We will camp in Kedarnath and spend the night there.

Day   5
Kedarnath (3550 m) [up to 5H walk, optional]
We will spend this day exploring the surrounding area. We will visit the famous Kedarnath temple and, for those who wish, walk around the site for a breath-taking view of the Chorobari Lake. The most valiant of you will walk to Vasuki Tal, a lake located at 4150m above sea level. We will set up camp in Kedarnath and spend the night there

Day   6
Kedarnath – Gaurikund (2000m) [4H walk]
We will walk back down to Gaurikund after breakfast and stay there overnight in tents or in a lodge.

Day  7
Gaurikund – Maggou (3250 m) [6/7H walk]
We begin our trek towards Maggou. A few kilometres down the road, we will first cross the holy sight of Sonprayag. We will then reach Trijugi Narayan where we will visit the Vishnu temple. We will then march on until we reach the pastures of Maggou-chatti where we will set up camp.

Day   8
Maggou – Panwali (3150 m) [5H of walk]
We begin a 5-hour walk to the mountains of Panwali, where we will set up camp.

Day   9
Panwali – Ghuttu (1600 m) [6/7H walk]
We will climb to the pass of Khinko-la (3500m) and then descend into the Bhillongana valley, passing through meadows, tropical forests and paddy fields until we reach the village of Ghuttu. We will set up camp there.

Day   10
Ghuttu – Bhairon Chatti (2400 m) [5/6H walk]
We begin our trek to Bhairon Chatti, crossing fields, farms, and villages with small stone temples. We will set yo camp there for the night.

Day   11
Bhairon Chatti – Buddha Kedar (1500 m) [5/6H walk]
We begin a long walk down through forests and fields before crossing the Ball Ganga river. We will set up camp near village of Budha Kedar and visit the Shiva temple in the area.

Day   12
Bhairon Chatti Buddha Kedar (1500 m) [5/6H walk]
We begin a long walk down through forests and fields before crossing the Ball Ganga river. We will set up camp near village of Budha Kedar and visit the Shiva temple in the area.

Day   13
Belak – Malla (1500 m) [4H walk] – Gangotri (3100 m) [80 kms, 4 to 6 H of road]
We begin our walk down to the Bhagirathi river, passing through a number of villages along the way. We will reach the village of Malla, at the end of the first trek. A vehicle will then take us to the temple of Gangotri. We will stay the night in a lodge in Gangotri.

Day   14
Gangotri – Bhujbasa (3800 m) [5H walk]
We will walk along the Ganges alongside many pilgrims until we reach Cheerbasa (3600m), a beautiful site near the Ganges, surrounded by pine trees. We will then continue towards Bhujbasa where we will camp for the night.

Day   15
Bhujbasa – Tapovan (4400 m) [4/5H walk]
We continue climbing towards Gaumukh (3900m), then cross the glacier to access the left bank, at around 4100m. We will the follow a short but steep slope which leads to the meadows of Tapovan, the ultimate destination of our tour.

Day   16
Tapovan (4400 m) [up to 5H walk, optional]
This will be a day of relaxing and exploration. We offer an optional walk towards the base camp of Kedarnath Dome. We will be camping in Tapovan.

Day   17
Tapovan – Gangotri (3100 m) [6/7H walk]
We begin a long walk back down to Gangotri, during which we will cross paths with many pilgrims. We will spend the night in Gangotri, camping in tents or staying in a lodge.

Day   18
Gangotri – Uttarkashi [100 km – 4/6H by road]
Take the morning to relax. We will then drive to Uttarkashi, a small bustling city which borders the Ganga river. You can visit the many temples of Uttarkashi, where we will stay the night in a hotel.

Day   19
Uttarkashi – Haridwar [150 km – 5/6H by road]
We hit the road again towards the holy hindu city of Haridwar, where you can visit the city’s ghats. We will stay there overnight in a hotel.

Day   20
Haridwar – Delhi [240 km – 6H by road]
We head back to Delhi by road, where you will stay in a hotel in the city centre.

Day   21
Delhi – international airport
Enjoy this last day in India at your leisure! We will take you to the airport in the evening, where you will board your flight home.
