From Tamil Nadu to Kerala

Day  1
Chennai – Mahabalipuram : (1 h30 by road 60Km)
When you arrive at the airport in Chennai, you will be warmly welcomed by our team in a traditional Indian way and immediately you will be transferred to Mahabalipuram. Overnight at hotel.

Day  2
Mahabalipuram – Pondichery : (2 h by road 100km)
Next day we go to Pudduchery, its name was changed from Pondicherry in October 2006, which is a city of sea fronts, wide boulevards, culture and French architecture. Overnight at hotel.

Day   3
Pondichery
In Pondicherry, we will discover French influences as the city was formerly a major french colony in India. The french influences can still be seen in local food, buildings, art and culture. In addition, you get relaxed on the beach of the city. Enjoy also yoga and meditation classes. Overnight at hotel.

Day   4
Pondichery- Thanjavur : (5/6 h by 210 Km)
On the 4th day, we travel to Thanjavur. It is known as the City of Temples as it has many temples including the famous Navagraha temple. We have the chance to visit the Brihadeeswarare Temple, the Royal Palace of Thanjavur, the Thanjavur Maratha Palace. Overnight at hotel.

Day   5
Thanjavur – Chettinad :(3 h by road 110 Km)
Continuing our discovery, we drive to Chettinad where we see the wealth of the city in cultural, artistic and architectural. The charming houses embellished with marble and Burma teak at Chettinad always attract the most tourists. The city lies in the region of Sivaganga district of southern Tamil Nadu. Overnight at hotel.

Day   6
Chettinad – Madurai : (2 h by road 90 Km )
Departure for Madurai where we visit the great temples of the city: the Meenakshi Temple, Alagar temple, Kodal temple, the Marriamman and Thepakkulam temples, Alagarkoli etc. Thirumalai Nayak Palace is also a very famous monument of South India. Overnight at hotel.

Day  7
Madurai – Kodaikanal (Elephant Valley) : (2/3 by road 130 Km)
We leave for “Elephant Valley” continuing our discovery. It is a place where you can find tea plantations and rich forest. Overnight in eco-lodge.

Day   8
Elephant Valley
After breakfast, we start discovering the natural area “Elephant Valley”. We experience strolling in the tea plantations and forest. Also enjoy yoga classes and meditation at eco-lodge. Overnight at the eco-lodge.

Day   9
Kodaikanal (Elephant Valley) – Periyar : (3/4 by road 145 Km)
When you arrive at the airport in Chennai, you will be warmly welcomed by our team in a traditional Indian way and immediately you will be transferred to Mahabalipuram. Overnight at hotel

  Periyar – Backwaters
On the 10th day of our trip, we arrive at the Vembanad Lake.Arrival at the destination, you can spend your day ,relaxing or discovering the villages in the vicinity. Overnight at hotel on the edge of beautiful Lake Vembanad.

Day  11
“Houseboat” on the “Backwaters”
Kerala is also famous for the traditional boat which is known as House-Boat. You may like to enjoy on the Houseboat. The Bachkwaters are a complex of rivers, canals and lakes. That is why the state is known for the greenery. Dinner and overnight on boat.

Day   12
Backwaters – Malabar Coast – Marari Beach : (1 h by road 30 Km)
We take road to the Malabar Coast where you will have fun on Marari Beach. This is a wonderful beach of Kerala where you can meet local fishermen and you may like to do yoga and meditation. Overnight in hotel.

Day   13
Malabar Coast – Marari Beach – Kochi : (2 h by road 55 Km )
The next day, you will discover Kochi, one of the loveliest cities in southern India. Here you can visit the historical buildings like the St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, and Bolghatty Palace. In addition, you can enjoy fishing. Overnight in guest house.

Day  14
Kochi airport
We leave for the airport in Kochi according to flight schedule and drop you there to take the flight. Our journey ends here.
