Description :   Discover the Beauty and history of Punjab and the dramatic scenery of the himalayan foothills. Enjoy both the rich and diverse culture and traditions that these regions have to offer. We will start by visiting Amristar and its magnificent golden temple, the holiest place of the Sikh religion. We will then make our way to the himalayan foothills, where you will discover the beautiful nature and peaceful atmosphere of the region, from the Tibetan-influenced town of Dharamsala, to the former British Raj summer capital of Shimla, where you can enjoy quiet walks in the beautiful surrounding pine forests. You will also discover the singular architecture of Chandigarh and the rich Mughal heritage of Delhi.

Package Details

Day  1
After landing in Delhi, you will take the connecting flight to Amritsar, where we will welcome you on arrival and take you directly to the hotel. In the Afternoon, we will visit the India-Pakistan border closing ceremony at Wagha before visiting the Golden temple after sunset. Seeing the highest religious site of the Sikh religion illuminated in lights is an unforgettable experience!

 Day  2

   After seeing the Golden temple at night, you will get a chance to see it in a completely different light, witnessing the prayers and religious ceremonies that take place at Sunrise. In the afternoon, we will take you to the Punjabiyat Farm resort, where you will be able to enjoy various activities such as farming, tasting punjabi cuisine, cycling in the surrounding countryside, visiting local sikh temples, bullock cart rides, and an excursion to Pong lake, about an hour’s drive away.

Day   3
In the morning, we will drive to McLeodganj near Dharamsala, which is the headquarters of the Tibetan Governement in exile and home of the Dalai-Lama, the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people. Take the afternoon to relax, stroll around town, and feel the Tibetan atmosphere of this small hill station.

Day   4
We will take the whole day to visit Mcleod Ganj and its surroundings, which offer a number of attractions: The Dalai Lama Temple, the Library of Tibetan Works, the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics, the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute, St. John’s church in the Wilderness, the Dal Lake. You can also enjoy the view of the Dhauladhar mountains form Talnoo-Nadj, visit the tea plantain in the Kangra Valley, enjoy some lovely restaurants and much more!

Day   5
We will drive to the small heritage village of Pragpur, stopping en route to visit Kangra Fort. We will reach Pragpur village in the afternoon, where you will be able to indulge in several activities including fishing, biking, angling or bird-watching, as well as visiting local artists and silversmiths.

Day   6
Take the day to enjoy scenic walks and excursions around this beautiful hamlet.

Day  7
We will leave in the morning for Shimla, the former summer residence of the British Raj. Perched on a ridge surrounded by hills and pine forests, this town offers a stunning view of the Himalaya foothills.

Day   8
Take the day to enjoy the British charm of this heritage hill town.

Day   9
In the morning, we will embark on the famous Shimla-Kalka toy train. Upon reaching Kalka, we will then drive to the city of Chandigarh, better-known for being the first planned city of post-independence India, with many of its buildings designed by French architect Le Corbusier.

Day   10
We will leave in the morning for Delhi, where you will visit the many historical sites and moment that India’s capital has to offer.

Day   11
Our journey comes to an end! It’s time to transfer to the airport and board your international flight.
