Description :   Kolkata is a fascinating city with history and mysteries attached to it. In October each year, the Durga Puja is celebrated by Hindus. This experience takes you from the Taj Mahal to Calcutta along the sacred Ganges. Explore the temples of Khajuraho, famous for their erotic sculptures. Discover the Hindu culture in this journey, with their greatest festival – Durga Puja (from 9 to 13 October 2013).

Day  1
Arrival in Delhi
Airport pick up, generally at night. Transfer and night in the hotel.

Day  2
Delhi – Jaipur (260 Km – 5H drive)
Drive to Jaipur, the pink city. Check into a hotel and take a stroll through the old town. Overnight at hotel.

Day   3
Jaipur
Exploring the “Amber Fort” in the morning and then walk in the city through different markets. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day   4
Jaipur – Agra (230 km – 5 hrs drive)
Drive to Agra. Halfway, you can stop to visit the ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri. Then continue to visit Agra and the Red Fort. Overnight at hotel.

Day   5
Agra – Orchha (5 hours – 180 km)
Discover the fabulous Taj Mahal in the morning. Then head to Orchha. Visit Fort Gwalior and Datia Hindu temples, on your way to Orchha. Check in hotel in Orchha and spend the night.

Day   6
Orchha – Khajuraho (4 hours – 175 km)
Discover, from the Betwa River, the Laxmi Temple, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Orchha. You can stop in Khajuraho. Overnight at hotel.

Day  7
Khajuraho – Allahabad (293 km)
Exploring the temples famous for their erotic sculptures, located in the countryside. Transfer to the airport for flight to Varanasi, one of the holiest city of Hinduism. Transfer to the hotel once arrived, and eventual walk in the city center in the afternoon.

Day   8
Allahabad – Chunar – Varanasi
This is an unforgettable experience of arriving by boat in the City of Lights. From distance, you’ll be able to see colorful houses. Sit in a hotel on the river bank. Overnight at hotel.

Day   9
Varanasi
Visit the city with its famous ghats that line the banks of the Ganges, the sacred river in India for Hindus. You can take a boat ride at dawn on the Ganges and a trip to the legendary Buddhist town of Sarnath (20 km from Varanasi). Overnight at hotel.

Day   10
Shasthi Varanasi – Kolkata (1h15 flight)
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Kolkata. Reception at the airport and transfer to hotel. Visit the Victoria Memorial in the afternoon after lunch. You can attend the gala performance on “Mahisasur Mardini”.

Day   11
Saptami Kolkata
In the morning after breakfast, visit different Pandals Puja. Treat yourself to lunch at the Oberoi Hotel. Carry on the visit of the Pandals Puja. Dinner at the Hotel Taj.

Day   12
Aashtami Kolkata
Depart from your hotel at 7am. Enter a Belur Math 8 am and experience the unique form of rituals, prayers and pujas dedicated to women. It ends at 9:50 precise. Back at the hotel before 12am. In the afternoon, relax at the pool. In the evening, attend a cultural show of Bengali ethnic dance “”Chau”” a Puja Pandal. Visit other famous Puja Pandals and dinner at the hotel.

Day   13
Navami Kolkata
In the morning, visit the city of Mother Teresa and a walk in the streets of Calcutta. In the afternoon you will have lunch at the Hotel Oberoi. In the evening, visit the Puja Pandals and experience the festival of Kolkata with millions of people in the street on the last day of the Puja. Dinner at the hotel.

Day   14
Kolkata – Delhi International Airport ( 2H 20 min. flight )
Transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi. Free time in Delhi and transfer to the international airport in the evening. End of our services.
