Day 1
Mumbai
Arrival. No organized activities, we welcome you whenever you arrive.
Day 2
Mumbai
Exploration of the fascinating city’s markets for shopping. There, you can find anything, jewelery, cloths, fabrics, any goods. You have the opportunity to witness one of India’s most beautiful sunset from the Gateway of India or from the Chowpatty.
Day 3 & 4
Udaipur (750 km – 1h45)
Morning flight to Udaipur. Udaipur is Rajasthan’s most romantic city. The City Palace, the gardens and the lake offer great wanders. You will love to see the cloths, handicrafts; leather bound goods and miniature paintings in the authentic city.
Day 5 & 6
Jodhpur (250 km – 4h30)
.After an amazing drive through the tribal regions, abounding with handcraft makers, we arrive to Jodhpur. The famous Blue City is dominated by the impressive Mehrangarh Fort. The surrounding little streets hide splendid markets and shops where you will find world unique handcrafts, spices and textiles.
Day 7
Jaipur (340 km – 5h)
Drive to Jaipur. It is the capital city of Rajasthan and is also known as the Pink City, renowned for its majestic palaces, fort and of course its markets.
Day 8 & 9
Jaipur
Amber Fort is a splendid example of the Rajput and Mughal architecture. It is an abandoned city and used to be the state capital. You will feel like maharajas and maharanis while entering the fort on elephant backs. Jaipur is famous for Gemstones, jewellery, fabrics and handcrafts. You will have plenty of time to explore the markets and shops to pick out a fabulous piece of Rajasthan.
Day 10
Agra (240km – 3h50)
A 5 hours drive to Agra where we take the opportunity to visit the remarkable Agra Fort in the afternoon. In the evening there is time to shop for Persian style carpets and marble inlay, the specialties of Agra.
Day 11
Delhi (240km – 3h)
We are up early to visit the Taj Mahal at dawn when it is at its most evocative and ethereal. After breakfast, we drive to Delhi. After checking into our hotel located in the heart of New Delhi’s shopping district, we visit the beautiful Humayun Tomb and Rajpath, the home to Delhi’s parliament.
Day 12
Delhi
We spend the morning visiting Old Delhi, where you have the chance to explore the markets and bazaars of Chandni Chowk. Spend the afternoon searching out some wonderful treasures and souvenirs in the many handcraft markets or designer shops throughout Delhi.
Day 13
Board a train to New Delhi, to connect with flight to Patna, which is reputed as the second seat of Sikh authority. Night at Hotel.
