Description :   Discover the “Arabian Night” world in Rajasthan and different traditions and modernity in Gujarat. Enjoy both the culture and the nature, these states have to show you. Rajasthan is a rural and traditional state, while Gujarat is the 2nd most industrialized state of India. Discover in Rajasthan, a mosaic of human – Rajput, Rebari Shepherds, Bishnois, Jath. Also enjoy the nature with Aravali hills, the Thar desert, saline desert and the awesome culture during this trip. Visit Udaipur and Jodhpur, full of colors and beauty,in Rajasthan, and enjoy the wonders of the Aravelli hills and their village scenes. Rajasthan is just awesome! In Gujarat, you will visit tribes, first class art and craft, Jain temples, forest reserve with rare species cities from the most ancient civilizations of the world.

Day  1
Arrival in Delhi
Traditional welcome at the airport. Overnight at Hotel.

Day  2
Delhi – Udaipur ( 1h30 flight )
Enjoy the day in Delhi and fly to Udaipur in the afternoon. Once you reach, transfer to your hotel, then go for a walk in the streets of the city. Udaipur is known as the romantic city of Rajasthan. It is located in backside of the hills. Its mountains go from the north of Gujarat to Delhi. It puts Rajasthan into 2 parts: the west where you find the Thar desert with a scanty vegetation on the land, and the east side where you find green and fertile land, poured by monsoons. Night in the hotel
Optional Activities
Boat tour of the Pichola Lake.Or view the whole city from above by balloon,or, get some cooking lessons of authentic and original dishes or get some painting lessons.

Day   3
Udaipur
Also called the “Venice of East”, you will enjoy the boat ride on the Pichola lake around which the city is built. Its palace and shopping alleys are a “must see”. You can as well ride a horse to discover the countryside. Night in the hotel.

Day   4
Udaipur – Dungarpur ( 130 km – 3h drive )
Drive till Dungarpur, a small town with an amazing fortress. Visit the palace of Maharaja, the city and take a walk by the lakeside where you will see beautiful birds. Night in the palace.

Day   5
Dungarpur – Ahmedabad ( 180 Km – 4/5h drive )
Leaving for Ahmedabad in the morning after breakfast. Visit the Mosques. Night in the hotel.

Day   6
Ahmedabad – Adalaj – Ahmedabad (1h30 round trip )
Visit the Calico Museum ,which is located in a beautiful haveli. Then go to Adalaj visit the Sabarmati Ashram founded by Gandhiji, in the 19th century amd from where he started on his long Salt Satyagraha. You have a nice view of the Sabarmati river from the Ashram. Night in the hotel.

Day  7
Ahmedabad – Dasada ( 90 Km – 2h30 )
You drive to Dasada, it opens the little Rann of kutch, a vast salines and pastures which constitute a unique ecosystem. Back to the hotel, then excursion to Dasada and villages in the neighborhood to meet local tribes called Adivasis or nomads. Night in the hotel.

Day   8
Dasada
Explore the forest reserve and discover rare animal species like the Onager ( wild asian ass ), antelopes, nilgais, wolves, and birds like pelicans, flamingoes, etc. Night in the hotel.

Day   9
Dasada – Mount Abu ( 240 Km )
Mount Abu is at 1200 m altitude on a plateau of the Aravali hills in Rajastan. Stop on your way to visit the wonderful Surya temple, dedicated to the Sun God. Then carry on by road to Patan which has the most beautiful step wells of Gujarat, the Baoli of the Rani. You reach Mount Abu by the end of the day. Check in and night in the hotel.

Day   10
Mount Abu
White marble Dilwara temples are a “must see”. They are a centre for pilgrimage in Jainism. You can taka a walk as well, around the Nakki lake. Night in the hotel.

Day   11
Mont Abu – Ghanerao, Narlai or Jojawar (depending on hotel) (3/4 hrs drive – 120 Km )
From the Aravali hills you move to Ghanerao, Narlai or Jojawar. There is another jain temple you will discover at Ranakpur. Night in the hotel.

Day   12
Choose between Ghanerao, Narlai or Jojawar. After this, start for Jodhpur, also called the blue city. There is a fortress in there, you must visit it. Night in the hotel.
Optional Activities
You can explore the surrondings of Meherangarh Fort by Zipline for 2hrs, and then meet the Bishnoi people.

Day   13
Jodhpur – Delhi (1h30 flight)
The Umaid Bhawan palace is in the Meherangarh fort. A must see too. Then you can go for a walk in the alleys of the old city and visit the Clock Tower and Sardar Market. Flight back to New Delhi and visit old Delhi and its markets. Finally transfer to the airport at night. Our services end then.
Optional Activities
Visit the town with a guide (speaking english preferably), take a guided bicycle tour exploring Old Delhi, enjoy the ayurvedic massages, get to know group of artists and Rajasthani musicians as well, try the street food of old Delhi, try to play cricket in a picnic with some indian friends.
